Citymind's AI chatbot on the O2 arena website in Prague correctly handled more than 49,400 visitor inquiries and saved over 2,345 hours of manual processing during the review period, with 93 percent of relevant inquiries resolved correctly and more than half of all conversations occurring outside working hours, per a Citymind case study published on 10 October 2026.
"AI chatbots for the web don't just belong in government or education. It works just as well in places where the user impression is decided in a matter of seconds," the Citymind case study said, framing the O2 arena deployment as a venue-grade test of the chatbot model.
For a major event venue like O2 arena, communication happens in tight, moment-to-moment bursts: where to enter, how tickets work, where to park, what to know before arrival. Visitors don't want to navigate subpages; they want a quick answer before the event. A website chatbot compresses the path to information and lets human staff focus on what cannot be automated.
Citymind originated in March 2023 as a MENDELU university course project guided by the South Moravian Innovation Centre (JIC). The O2 arena deployment represents the company's expansion beyond public administration and education into entertainment venues where user impression is decided in seconds.
The chatbot uses Retrieval-Augmented Generation hosted on Microsoft Azure servers in the EU via Azure OpenAI Service, with ISO 27001-certified security, full GDPR, AI Act, and Data Act compliance, automatic detection of up to 150 languages, and the Citymind Manager admin panel for analytics and Excel export.
The top five topics handled were tickets and their use, start of events and entrances, parking and transport, operational information before the visit, and orientation around a specific event. Over 50 percent of conversations occurred outside working hours, when digital accessibility becomes most visible: evenings, pre-event moments, and times when waiting for a next-day answer is not an option.
The O2 arena case demonstrates that AI chatbots work in user-impression-critical environments, not just government and education. The deployment model, "AI for the first touch, human for the rest," is positioned for expansion into other event, hospitality, and venue contexts.
