Microsoft reveals how Accenture deployed Copilot to 700,000+ users at Accenture

Microsoft Corp. has partnered with Accenture Plc on the largest-ever deployment of its artificial intelligence tool Microsoft 365 Copilot, rolling it out to the consultancy's global workforce of more than 743,000 people – roughly equivalent to the population of Denver, Colorado. The deployment, which began in late 2025, makes Accenture the largest enterprise customer of Microsoft 365 Copilot to date, with the consultancy's entire professional services workforce now using the AI assistant as a core productivity tool embedded across Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Accenture reports that early usage data shows employees saving an average of 30-45 minutes per day on routine tasks including email drafting, document summarization, meeting preparation, and data analysis. The rollout is part of Accenture's broader $3 billion investment in AI and Data practice, announced in 2023, which has also included training more than 30,000 of its professionals in advanced AI engineering and prompt engineering skills. Microsoft said Accenture's deployment demonstrates how professional services firms can use Copilot to amplify billable-hour productivity, automate non-billable administrative work, and accelerate client delivery timelines. The two companies have also co-developed industry-specific Copilot templates for financial services, healthcare, and manufacturing that will be made available to other Microsoft enterprise customers.
