QBot Enterprise AI Platform for Workplace Productivity (NRMA)
Content
NRMA, one of Australia's best-known membership organisations supporting millions across motoring, travel, and tourism, found that as its information landscape grew in complexity, staff spent significant time searching for information scattered across multiple systems. Each department had its own pain points: contact centres needed rapid access to accurate customer information, talent teams faced repetitive job-ad creation, and technical teams struggled to locate critical details buried in large documents. Leadership wanted to validate whether an AI platform could securely leverage generative AI inside NRMA's environment, with strict requirements on data sovereignty, security, and governance. NRMA partnered with Antares Solutions to deploy QBot, an enterprise AI platform branded internally as "NRM8," inside the existing Microsoft Azure tenancy. QBot was integrated with Azure AD single sign-on, role-based access control, and private network endpoints to preserve data sovereignty. Staff reached the platform through Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and web browsers, and distinct AI personas were created for each use case. The project followed an iterative approach with rapid requirements capture, pilot testing with content owners, continuous feedback loops, and staged rollouts. A staff naming competition produced the "NRM8" (NRMA Mate) brand, supported by training and in-product feedback mechanisms to drive adoption. Over six months NRMA deployed several AI agents with strong governance and an active change-management programme. Manual report generation fell from around one week to ten minutes. The talent team could instantly generate tailored job ads, and technical departments could quickly locate critical codes and data within large document repositories. Beyond efficiency, the deployment drove a cultural shift: staff now view the AI personas as genuine digital teammates, and NRMA is exploring new use cases across additional brands and business units.
