REIVR Prototypes a Conversational AI Quotation ChatBot With CeADAR's EDIH for AI

REIVR is an Irish MedTech company whose FusionBoard system uses real-time location technology to help clinical teams and biomedical engineers locate, track and manage hospital equipment. The company wanted a more scalable way to qualify prospective customers: its sales and support processes needed substantial admin time to work out each customer's requirements and calculate project costs, which caused delays and limited growth. REIVR took part in the Test Before Invest service of CeADAR's European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) for AI, starting with a Digital Maturity Assessment that put its digital maturity at 35%. The assessment pointed to conversational AI for customer prospecting, particularly needs analysis and cost assessment, and REIVR chose a Customer Quotation ChatBot as a high-impact proof of concept. CeADAR built a bespoke prototype. A web chat interface styled in REIVR's branding needs no login. Behind it, a conversational engine connected by webhook uses an automation workflow and AI agents to process queries, run dynamic calculations and validate responses, with the bot's language and response logic co-developed with REIVR to match real quotation requirements. Quotes are generated by a predefined REIVR calculator engine from the customer's inputs. Data is stored in the cloud with personal and hospital-related data kept separate, customers who lack some information can save their session and resume later with a PIN code, and the data handling was designed to comply with GDPR. Both parties tested the prototype by simulating customer interactions, edge cases and quote validation, and defined default fallback responses. CeADAR reports that the prototype automates the first customer encounter and reduces the time and effort needed to produce indicative quotations; no figures are given. After the proof of concept, REIVR and CeADAR integrated the chatbot into REIVR's Squarespace website. REIVR plans to explore expanded calculator logic for more customer segments and pricing models, conversational AI for follow-up and onboarding, and AI-supported video tools for system design and setup.
