DB Lumina AI Research Agent on Google Cloud

Deutsche Bank Research created DB Lumina, an AI-powered research agent that automates data analysis, streamlines workflows, and delivers more accurate and timely insights for hundreds of research analysts, while maintaining stringent data privacy requirements for the highly regulated financial sector. DB Lumina has three key features that transform the research experience: 1. **Gen AI-powered chat**: DB Lumina's conversational interface enables analysts to interact with Google's state-of-the-art AI foundation models, including the multimodal Gemini models. Analysts can ask questions, brainstorm ideas, refine writing, and generate content. 2. **Multi-source data integration**: DB Lumina connects to both internal and external data sources, including financial statements, regulatory filings, industry reports, and Deutsche Bank's proprietary research database, allowing the AI to synthesize information from diverse sources. 3. **Workflow automation**: DB Lumina automates manual research tasks such as data gathering, model building, pattern identification, and trend analysis, freeing analysts to focus on higher-value interpretive work. The platform was developed in collaboration between dbResearch and Deutsche Bank's internal development team, with Google Cloud's AI incubation team.
