FedEx deployed Dataworks (ML platform for demand forecasting), Surround (AI/ML for disruption prediction with sensor tracking), Customs AI chatbot (HTS code lookup), and Stops Sequencing (AI route optimization) across its $87.7B global express network serving 220+ countries.
Logistics provider Fiege developed a Carrier Claims AI agent on Azure Functions and Services and a GDPR-compliant OpenAI model to handle carrier claims for lost or damaged parcels. The t3n report says the agent reads emails and attachments, matches trackings, interprets carrier responses and conducts the argumentation, with an automation rate above 70 percent.
C.H. Robinson's CFO described how a team of 450 engineers built 30 in-house agentic AI tools. One agentic tool now lets it respond to 100% of roughly 600,000 yearly rate quote requests at its NAST division, in 32 seconds, and a revenue management agent adjusts pricing strategy hundreds of times a day.
States Logistics Services began exploring robotic trailer unloading in 2023 and partnered with Contoro Robotics, whose AdaptAI software drives a KUKA KR IONTEC arm. Where employees once offloaded two or three containers per eight-hour shift, the robots now handle four to five, and the case study cites reduced turnover and lower labor and injury-related costs.
Oesterreichische Post partnered with Heptasense and deployed Intelligent Automation for document processing and logistics. 80% reduction in manual labor, 98% data processing accuracy, halved processing time across mail, invoices, and orders.
C.H. Robinson runs hundreds of connected AI agents for steps such as pricing, orders, appointments, freight matching, tracking and invoicing, coordinated by its Always On Logistics Planner. An analysis of truckload shipments from January 2024 to January 2026 covering two of its more mature agents found 11% faster speed to market on average and 7% better on-time pickups.
Supported by IMDA's 5G Innovation Programme, DSV built a Digital Twin that pulls warehouse, automation, security, energy and freight data into one view, adds computer-vision space measurement and 5G cameras, and reports a 25% drop in physical site visits with network latency averaging 11 milliseconds.
