EMMI Platform on NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD
Content
Terray Therapeutics launched EMMI (Experimentation Meets Machine Intelligence), an AI-native platform for small molecule drug discovery. EMMI integrates ultra-dense microarray experimentation that produces over 13 billion compound-target measurements (growing 1 billion per quarter) with a full-stack AI platform. At the center is COATI, a large-scale molecular foundation model trained on more than one billion molecular structures using contrastive learning. Training at this scale is supported by NVIDIA DGX Cloud, which provides the GPU infrastructure for compute-intensive tasks. Terray's generative models use latent diffusion and reinforcement learning to explore chemical space and propose molecules balancing potency, stability, and synthetic accessibility. EMMI's predictive models, including the TerraBind potency model, predict molecule binding and behavior in the body. EMMI Select uses Epistemic Neural Networks with Expected Maximum acquisition to quantify predictive uncertainty, tripling efficiency in potency optimization cycles. EMMI supports Terray's internal immunology programs including a partnership with Odyssey Therapeutics, and discovery partnerships with Calico, Bristol Myers Squibb, and Gilead.
