AI-Matters - Flexible Manufacturing Deployment in European Manufacturing

Brainport Industries partnered with AM-Flow as part of the AI-Matters European initiative to help small and medium-sized enterprises with production digitization challenges. AI-Matters aims to increase the resilience and flexibility of the European manufacturing sector by deploying the latest developments in AI and robotics, and intelligent autonomous systems for flexible production through a Manufacturing Testing and Experimentation Facility (TEF) network across 8 European countries with 25 partners. The Dutch node is based at Brainport Industries Campus in Eindhoven, coordinated by Brainport Industries along with TU/e and TNO. The collaboration with AM-Flow focuses on achieving fully integrated and digitized flexible manufacturing processes with applied AI technology. Stefan Rink, CEO at AM-Flow, stated that SMEs can accelerate their transition to Industry 4.0 and autonomous manufacturing through advanced AI-based systems and modules. The services offered include demonstration of modules, feasibility studies analyzing factory processes, testing and experimentation on pilot lines, and experimentation at SME sites to gain practical insights and optimize processes. These services enable companies to understand how to apply new manufacturing technologies in different production steps for various applications in the high-mix industry.
