CoreWeave OpenAI $11.2B AI Infrastructure Contract

CoreWeave, a leading AI-native cloud infrastructure provider, signed an $11.9 billion deal with OpenAI to provide specialized AI infrastructure for large-scale model training and deployment. Under the agreement, CoreWeave expanded its compute capacity to support OpenAIs next-generation AI training workloads using purpose-built GPU infrastructure. As part of the deal, OpenAI invested $350 million in CoreWeave, deepening the strategic partnership between the two companies. This represented one of the largest AI infrastructure commitments in the industry, demonstrating the massive capital investment required to train frontier AI models. The partnership was later expanded, with CoreWeave announcing an additional $6.5 billion commitment from OpenAI, bringing the total value of deals between the two companies to approximately $22.4 billion. CoreWeave provides specialized cloud infrastructure optimized for AI and high-performance computing workloads, leveraging NVIDIA GPUs including Blackwell and Hopper architectures, to power the most compute-intensive AI training and inference tasks.
