Aluminum Corporation of China (Chalco) released Kun'an 2.0, a large industrial AI model specifically designed for non-ferrous metals production. Over the past year, Chalco applied the AI model to key industrial processes and promoted the development of more than 100 application scenarios across the non-ferrous metals industrial chain. From these, 52 typical scenarios were selected and released, and eight high-quality industry datasets were built. The deployment covers the full production cycle from experience-based mining to smart exploration, and from craftsmanship-driven smelting to AI-enabled precision control. Kun'an 2.0 was developed in collaboration with the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association to address industry-wide challenges in digital and intelligent development. The model's deployment is supported by China's 15th Five-Year Plan, which explicitly prioritizes AI integration across manufacturing, energy, and agriculture sectors.
