An Indiana-based snack food manufacturer engaged a consultant to use the Perplexity AI tool to build a dedicated OSHA compliance manual tailored to the company's factory specifications. The manufacturer is on track to more than double its revenue to $500 million by 2030 and sought to ensure its factory could still meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards as it scales production. The consultant crafted a large prompt containing factory specifications including number of aisles, racks, production lines, workers, and bathroom facilities, fed this data along with different OSHA regulatory files into Perplexity, and received a dedicated compliance manual output. That manual was then translated into Spanish and French-based Creole for distribution to shop floor operators—something that would have required significantly more time and cost through traditional translation methods. The consultant validated the output through native speakers at the company, who found it highly useful. The Perplexity tool was chosen over Google Translate for its ability to handle technical regulatory nuances more accurately.
