BMC Control-M Enterprise Agentic Orchestration — AI Agents at Production Scale

BMC Software's Control-M platform has been extended to provide enterprise agentic orchestration capabilities, enabling organizations to deploy, coordinate, and govern AI agents within their existing workload automation infrastructure. Control-M Agentic Orchestration introduces three new capabilities. First, an agent registry that maintains a catalog of all AI agents deployed in the organization, tracking their capabilities, version history, input/output schemas, and operational status. Second, a structured delegation framework that governs how work passes between agents. When a primary agent encounters a task outside its capabilities, it submits a delegation request to Control-M. The orchestration layer validates the delegation against security policies, tracks the delegation through completion, and ensures results are returned to the appropriate agent for synthesis. Third, comprehensive observability features that provide end-to-end visibility into agent activity. Every agent action is logged with timestamps, input/output data, and lineage information. This audit trail satisfies enterprise compliance requirements and provides the diagnostic data needed to debug agent failures. The platform's enterprise-grade foundations—high availability, disaster recovery, role-based access control—allow Agentic Orchestration to operate within the same governance framework as other critical enterprise workloads.
