Deutsche Telekom and NVIDIA Open Industrial AI Cloud: One Billion Euro Sovereign AI Infrastructure in Munich
Content
Deutsche Telekom and NVIDIA opened the Industrial AI Cloud Center in Munich Tucherpark in February 2026, one of Europe largest AI infrastructure projects with a one billion euro investment entirely financed by the private sector. The project increases available AI computing power in Germany by approximately 50%, with over 1,000 high-performance systems and up to 10,000 latest-generation GPUs installed in a renovated data center. The Industrial AI Cloud enables companies of all sizes to use AI across the industrial value chain from design and simulations to robotics, scheduled to go live in Q1 2026. A Germany Stack created with SAP provides sovereign AI for public institutions, security-related areas, and the economy. Partner ecosystem includes Siemens, Agile Robots, Wandelbots, PhysicsX, Quantum Systems, and Perplexity. Siemens will offer industrial AI software as a service, enabling customers like Mercedes-Benz and BMW to perform AI-supported digital twin simulations and accelerate development. The project is a flagship of the Made for Germany initiative with over 100 participating companies.
