ReactWise is using AI to speed up chemical manufacturing - a key step in bringing new drugs to market. Once a promising drug has been identified in the lab, pharma firms need to produce larger amounts for clinical trials. ReactWise offers an AI copilot for chemical process optimization which accelerates by 30x the standard trial-and-error process of figuring out the recipe for manufacturing a drug. The startup's machine learning AI models reduce how many iteration cycles are required to land on a solid recipe. By reducing iterations from months to weeks, ReactWise helps pharma companies get drugs to market faster. The company is also working with material manufacturers in polymer drug delivery development. ReactWise is Y Combinator-backed and was founded in July 2024. It has 12 pilot trials running with pharma companies and expects first full deployments later this year.
